OVERWATCH BRINGS IN OVER 7 MILLION PLAYERS DURING LAUNCH WEEK

Ever since Blizzard’s new team-based shooter gameoverwatch officially launched on May 24, it has brought in over 7 million players spread across all three release platforms and both digital and retail copies.

The stats are quite impressive, especially when you consider that 9.7 million players took part in the game’s open beta during its entire running period. Blizzard has already heralded overwatch launch week as “one of the most successful global game launches of all time” while sharing other fun launch week stats such as the fact that players have already racked up over 119 million hours of playtime, nd that players have swapped heroes mid-match 326 million times (those darn Bastions aren’t going to counter themselves after all).
