Grand Theft Auto VI needs a female protagonistTime: Feb. 2, 2018 From: SCDKey
It's been five years since Grand Theft Auto V came out, so it's time to start wondering when the next game in the series will come out.
We don't have an official word from the developer Rockstar Games about the status of their most popular series, it's up to the fans to speculate and plan what we want to see in the next game in the series. For me, I think that this series needs a female protagonist.
The basic history of GTA has always been the exploration of the bruised American dream through the prism of frustrated masculinity; a bloody and hyperviolet combination of Fight Club and The Great Gatsby, if you will.
By the time GTA V rolled, the three protagonists were a self-referential study: Franklin was a Gang Bangler, in the style of San Andreas CJ. Michael was a professional criminal more in tune with Claude or Niko. Trevor was essentially an embodiment of all the things that GTA players do because they can: an amoral, arsonist psychopath.
Rockstar has done justice to this special character many times. So, why not go in a new direction?
Grand Theft Auto is one of the most profitable and successful video game franchises of all time. He can remain static and turn the wheels or find new ways to tell his story. I think you can afford to take a risk with a new formula. Winning a woman as the main actress in the next match would be a real surprise. But I think it's both the program and the fans who can do it.
