In many of the differences between the origins of the Assassin's Creed last year and this year's Assassin's Creed Odyssey Xbox CD Key Global, changes in upgradeability have had the most significant impact on gameplay. Even at the time, Origins' skill tree was a puzzling mess, and Odyssey's improvements made this confusion clearer.
Most Assassin's Creed games do not include an action RPG-style skill tree, those types of systems tend to be more like island crises. Ubisoft Montreal is the main studio of AC Origins last year. It introduced the skill tree for Far Cry in Far Cry 3 in 2012. Various other Ubisoft studios continue to experiment with different upgrade systems through the 2016 Far Cry Primal. This is a big improvement for a clumsy and confusing system.
As the development studio behind Odyssey, Ubisoft Quebec is actually the studio that introduced the skill tree to Assassin's Creed in the 2015 Assassin's Creed Group. Last year's Origins adopted this concept and then ran it, and the results were often confusing. With Odyssey, Ubi Quebec took a similar approach to the Far Cry 5 developer and achieved similar positive results.
