Bungie has taken an important step in its quest to be more open with Destiny 2 Blizzard Key EU players by posting a development roadmap for the next three major game updates.
The schedule follows a long article by Christopher Barrett, game director, earlier this month, describing Bungie's Destiny 2 plans for 2018. This included a general timeline for updates, and today the studio provided more details on what happens and when, over the course of the winter and spring.
Yesterday, Bungie released its first major update of the year, which brought Destiny 2 to version 1.1.2 with new features such as masterpiece armor and redesigned elements such as Raid Rewards. The next major fix, v1.1.3, is scheduled for February 27th. It's going to hit Nightfall, and Bungie also wants to add unique rewards for Nightfall attacks. Other improvements in version 1.1.3 include the introduction of a public text chat in the Windows PC version of Destiny 2 and a reduction in the frequency of exotic duplicates.
Bungie is planning to release v1.1.4 a month later, on March 27th. This update will focus on the Crucible and Sandbox game, and will bring six to six games to Destiny 2 for the first time - but only in the Iron Banner playlist, apparently. Penalties will also be introduced for players who complete Ordeal matches and will reduce the likelihood of players seeing repetitions in the hit playlists and in the Crucible. The goal for March is to update the game balance for exotic species.
