'Star Wars Battlefront II' Physical Sales Down 60 Percent in the U.K.Time: Nov. 21, 2017 From: SCDKey
Sales of Star Wars Battlefront 2 Origin CD Key Global PC in the United Kingdom decreased by 60% compared to the first Battlefront, according to Chart-Track (through Eurogamer).
This news comes after weeks of controversy as fans expressed their frustration with the use of microtransactions through the game.
The game's problems began when Publisher EA tried to simplify its integration of micro transactions and unlocking heroes, which led to the lowest comment in the history of Reddit. It got worse when a fan page discovered that they were unlocking all the basic content of the game, it would take more than 4,500 hours for the players or $ 2,100 if they did not have time. Shortly before the game's launch, EA announced that it would temporarily eliminate the game's micro-transactions, but despite EA's efforts to cool the storms, Battlefront II is well below the average in the physical market.
It is important to keep in mind that this does not include the digital sales of the game where it could be sold much better. These figures only take into account the physical versions of the game in the United States. Sales data in the United States is not currently available.
