29AugustD.Va gets an excellent nerve in the upcoming PTR Overwatch, but also a new skillTime: Aug. 29, 2017 From: SCDKeyOverwatch has a D.Va. The hero of the Korean tank now sees an important game thanks to the powerful ability of the defense matrix and the role that suits them in the current goal of diving. It seems that Blizzard also noticed that Overwatch's chief designer Geoff Goodman slipped into a forum article today to outline an upcoming D.Va withdrawal that the team has tested internally.
Here are the changes you are currently testing:
Defense Matrix: Drain energy increased by 2x. This means that their actual availability for this capacity has been reduced by 50%.
Boosters: D.Va can now use your Fusion cannons during the flight.
New Ability - Micro-missiles: D.Va initiates a long explosion of small rockets that explode to the rhythm and they dye the face in a small radius around them. This ability can be used while using your other abilities or launch your Fusion Canons.
"The combination of these changes allows you to play more aggressively and damage the cost of the defense matrix as often as before," Goodman said. "The defense matrix remains an extremely powerful tool, but the reduced runtime means that D.Va can not use it almost as often."
Goodman said that the new capability of Micro-Missiles, in combination with the ability to shoot in flight, will allow a more aggressive game, as well as opening new strategic options against heroes like Pharah.
"Overall, the goal here is to reduce their reliability to the defense matrix and make them more fun." As for compensation, we want the defense matrix to be a skill, not D.Va as a hero, "Goodman said. She enjoyed playing with these changes, and we are thrilled to play with them. "
According to Goodman, these changes can be played for testing at the upcoming PTR Overwatch. As always, they are likely to change before or after Blizzard has compiled information about the PTR players themselves.
